Wow, the celebration last night did not disappoint! After some Roman candles and more bottle rockets in the Hochwenders' back yard, we migrated to the waterfront. Tons of people gathered along the Ohio River there for the show to begin. Even before it started, you could see various amateur displays going on along the banks on both sides. Wal-Mart here is selling packages that include "festival balls" ... just about like what we see in professional displays (the big starbursts up in the air). --Paul

Independence Day, part 2 - Evansville, IL
